Chester Elmo Reece Age: 80 May 7, 1941 - May 21, 2021

Myra Lynn Reece, 75 of Hillsville, passed away on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Northern Regional Hospital.  Mrs. Reece was born in Carroll County to the late George and Rubye Surratt Ogle.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Marilynn Ogle.

Chester Elmo Reece, 80 of Hillsville, passed away on Friday, May 21, 2021 at Northern Regional Hospital.  Mr. Reece was born in Carroll County to the late Jesse Lee and Virginia Henley Reece.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by siblings, Walter Reece, Marvin Reece, Collean Terry, Glenna Smith, Linda Lou Reece, and Clark Reece.

Survivors of Mr. and Mrs. Reece include their children and spouses, Carol and Tom Gallimore, Randal and Josefina Reece, Tammy and Jeff Jones, Ginny and Tim Davidson, and Shelia Reece and Skip Beggs; fourteen grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Myra is also survived by a brother, Garrett Ogle and sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Ledford Hiatt.  Chester is also survived by a sister, Willadean Reece; and brothers, Lonnie Dean Reece and Jerry Reece.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Andrew Vargas officiating.  Burial will follow in the Shockley Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 12:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
