Muriel Lois Rundle Smith, 94 of Hillsville, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2008 in Lynchburg, Virginia. Mrs. Smith was born in Burks County, PA to the late Milton Bradford & Lillian Elizabeth Atkinson Rundle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Paul Heister Smith and two sons, James Roger Smith and Kent Andrew Smith. Mrs. Smith is survived by her sons Lyn Smith & special friend Judy Edwards of Gretna, VA, Kurt Smith and wife Barbara of Hillsville and Jeffrey Smith and wife Mary of Lynchburg; brother & sister-in-law Dave & Dorothy Rundle of California; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at 2:00 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Duane Steele officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Gardner Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday beginning at 1:00 PM prior to the memorial service.
