Moir W. Branscome, 81, of Hillsville, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mr. Branscome was born in Stuart to the late Floyd Allen & Myrtle Horton Branscome. He is survived by his wife Katie Branscome of the home; daughter & son-in-law Gina & Eric Crowder of Hillsville; son & daughter-in-law Dennis & Sara Branscome of Sterling, VA; step daughter and spouse Janet & Troy Corvin of Hillsville; sister & brother-in-law Sarah Frances & Dr. Robert Kilgore of Hampton, VA; grandsons Daniel Branscome and Nathan Branscome; step grandchildren & spouse Heather & Terry Jones and Chris Corvin; step great grandson Logan Dalton Wingate; and special niece and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at the Hillsville Christian Church at 11:00 AM with Dr. John Dunstan officiating. Inurnment will follow in the North End Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Hillsville Christian Church on Monday, June 1, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
