Minnie Etta Nester, 85, of Dugspur, passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Nester was born in Carroll County to the late Sanford Lee and Lutitia Bolt Webb. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Elton "Pete" Nester. Mrs. Nester is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Verna Mae and Lionel Burcham of Fancy Gap, Carol Lane and Elwood Cruise of Hillsville, and Brenda Joyce Goad of Hillsville; brother, Clinton Webb of Laurel Fork; six grandchildren, Lynn Goodson, Lee Tobler, Michael Tobler, Sheila Hall, Crystal Bailey, and Doug Goad; and five great grandchildren, Edward Lee Tobler, Amber Tobler, Sara Hall, Kassidy Goad, and Christian Goad. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Elder Melvin McGrady and Elder Michael McGrady officiating. Burial will follow in the Nester Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
