Mina Sue Lawson, 73, of Austinville, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center. Ms. Lawson was born in Carroll County, VA to the late John H. and Matty B. Lawson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Ovelia Marie Lawson; and brothers, Buford Lawson, Claron Lawson, and Haskell Lawson.

Ms. Lawson is survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Duel and Nancy Lawson, Junior and Dorothy Lawson, and Owen and Dorothy Lawson; sister-in-law, Dorothy M. Lawson; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel in Hillsville at 11:00 AM with Pastor Ricky Alexander and Pastor Jeff Pickett officiating. The body will lie in state with visitation from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to the funeral service. Burial will be at the Pickett Cemetery. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
