Mildred Hicks Marsh of BelAlton, Md. died on November 10, 2010 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Md. She was born on October 10, 1927 in Carroll County, Va. to the late Conrad Hicks and Naomi White Leagans. She was also predeceased by her brother John D. Hicks. She is survived by her son Vivian Marsh and his wife Marjorie, sisters Iris Dickerson and Joyce Hicks, grandson David Marsh and his wife Cecilia, and her great grandson J.T. Marsh.

Mildred was a member of the Hillsville Christian Church and a member of the Jaycees in Hillsville, Va. She also managed the Thunderbird Apartments in BelAlton, Md. for 35 years.

The family will receive friends at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home LaPlata, Md. on Saturday November 13, 2010 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. A graveside service with burial following will be held on Monday, November 15, 2010 at Felts Cemetery in Galax, Virginia at 11:00 AM.
