Mildred Lou Lawson, 77 of Austinville, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024 at her home.  Mrs. Lawson was born in Bedford County, PA to the late Blaine M. and Alma M. Carter Hoover.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by sisters, Shirley H. Nester, Sandra H. Deffibaugh, and Anna Mae Reid.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Winford Lawson; children, Angela D. Crigger (Scott), Laura L. Houser, and Bobby Houser; grandchildren, Kourtni L. Houser, Bailey L. Houser, and Ava B. Houser; great-grandchildren, Kason D. Houser and Kennedi L. Houser; sister, Eva H. Grubb (Barry); and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Coulson Church at 3:00 PM with Pastor Wayburn Mosley officiating.  The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 2:00 until 3:00 PM prior to the service.  Inurnment will be in the Coulson Church Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Coulson Church. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
