Mildred "Millie" Ann Mitchem, 81 of Hillsville, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026 at Hillsville Health and Rehab.  Mrs. Mitchem was born in Wythe County, Virginia to the late Haymond William and Ada Mae Bond Swecker.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Mitchem; grandson, Eric Semones; and eleven brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her children Chad Semones (Amy), Leslie Semones (Kyneathia), and Gregory Semones; grandchildren, Brittany Semones, Casey Semones, Mandy Semones, Jacob Semones, Savannah Semones, and Kory Semones (Caitlyn); sixteen great grandchildren; and one brother.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel serving the family.
