Mildred Sue Alderman Collins, 57, of Hillsville, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Drura and Georgia Shepherd Alderman; daughter, Erin Alderman; two brothers, Harland Jackson Alderman, and Jack Alderman.

She is survived by her husband, Kelly Collins of the home; daughter, Mamie Lynn Loyd of Hillsville; two grandchildren, Renee Loyd, and Kayliegh Loyd; sister in-law Betty Alderman of Shreveport, LA; niece, Christie Alderman of LA. Several other brothers and sisters in-law and many dear friends also survive.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Hillsville with Pastor Michael Shockley, Dr. Lawrence Childs, and Rev. Hebron Quesenberry officiating. Entombment will follow at Monta Vista Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church of Hillsville on Monday, September 26, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
