Michelle E. "Mickey" Walbroehl, 70, of Meadows of Dan, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. Mrs. Walbroehl was born in Long Island, New York to the late Joseph and Viola Gruepe Pfister. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Walbroehl. Survivors include her children and spouses, Suzzette and Scott Stevens of Meadows of Dan, John and Sue Walbroehl of Fancy Gap, and Joe and Emma Walbroehl of Galax; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. There will be no public services. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
