Michael Lee Sexton, 36, of Cana, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at the Woltz Hospice Home. Michael was born in Galax, VA on August 15, 1978. Survivors include his wife, Alana Sexton of the home; son, Micah Kade Sexton of the home; daughter, Keely Sage Sexton and foster daughter, Skyler Grace Evans of the home; parents, David McGrady and Betty Jane Yonce Sexton of Galax; brother, Jeffrey Sexton of Woodlawn; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alan M. and Rhonda Gravley of Woodlawn; brother-in-law, Brennan Gravley of Woodlawn; aunts, Mary Spencer of Galax and Carol Anderson of Fries; uncle and spouse, Lillard and Nancy Sexton of Tamarac, FL; great-great uncle, Berrell Long of Fries; several cousins and many special friends. Also, the family would like to thank Beth Foshee and Jerry Eu for their loving care throughout Michael's illness. Funeral services will be held on October 21, 2014 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jeremy Hendrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service.
