Michael Alan Nester, 66 of Hillsville, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025 at his home.  Mr. Nester was born in Galax, Virginia to the late Robert Rush and Barbara Louise Gardner Nester.

Survivors include his children, Shaun Nester, Ethan Nester (Kaci), and Eli Nester all of Hillsville; grandchildren, Emett Nester and Kansas Nester; ex-wife, Teresa Nester; siblings, Michelle Dixon (Jim) of Galax, Gina Dalton of Galax, Pam Irvin of Hillsville, Fred Nester (Polly) of Raleigh, NC, Sara Rucker (Lynn) of Hillsville, and Susan Kinser of Galax; several nieces and nephews; and step-mother, Alene Nester.

A graveside service with burial will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Monty Duncan officiating. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
