Melvin Webb, 85, of Hillsville, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at the home of his daughter. Mr. Webb was born in Carroll County to the late Elbert and Myrtis Nester Webb. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Belva Webb. Survivors include his wife, Glendon Nester Webb of the home; daughter and son-in-law Marcia and David Semones of Dugspur; sons and daughters-in-law, Marlin and Cindy Webb of Woodlawn and Jerry Webb and Michelle Burnette of Hillsville; twelve grandchildren, Charlie and Marc Peppers, Wendy Webb and Brenda Leath, Richard, Chris, Nathan, Adam, and Mason Webb, Shannon Semones, Shelly Burnett, and Gavin Webb; and seven great-grandchildren, Wesley and Olivia Peppers, Savannah and Emma Leath, Sarah Webb, Santana Day, and William Burnette. Funeral services will b held on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Pastor Ron Kronk and Pastor David Bays officiating. Burial will follow in the Nester Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the Webb family.
