Maxie Leon Young, 72, of Austinville, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Young was born in Henry County to the late Phillip Reginald and Betty Mae Bradley Young. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his grandson, Gregory Quesenberry and Taz. Survivors include his wife, Louetta White Young of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly and Mike Johnson of Mount Airy, NC, Michele Mundy and Scott Sands of Hillsville, and Shannon and Ronnie Lindsey of Hillsville; sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Doug Adams of Bassett; grandson and spouse, Alex and Kindell Young; granddaughter and spouse, Jordan and Chris Gravley; great grandson, Aythen Young; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor David Bays officiating. Burial will follow at White Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 27, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
