Mavis Darlene McGrady, age 57, of Asheboro, NC, died Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Woodland Hill Care & Rehabilitation, Asheboro, NC. Ms. McGrady was born April 10, 1957 the daughter of Rush and Arleta Quesinberry McGrady. Ms. McGrady was a native of Radford, VA and a graduate of Asheboro High School in 1975. She was formerly employed with Harris Covington, Mfg of High Point. Darlene enjoyed music, traveling and her pets. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by one son: Bryan Glenn McGrady and his wife, Dawn of Asheboro, NC; granddaughter: Daryan McGrady of Asheboro, NC two brothers: Edward Wayne McGrady and his wife, Allene of Randleman, NC, and Rush Benton McGrady of Trenton, NJ; aunt: Carol Spence of Hillsville, VA; many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 6, 2014 from 3:00 - 5:00 PM prior to the funeral service at 5:00 PM at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC with Rev. Adrian Pugh officiating. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at the Isaac Quesinberry Semones Cemetery, Hillsville, VA at 6:00 PM with Rev. Wendell Horton officiating. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel, 1035 North Main Street, Hillsville, VA from 3:30 until 5:30 PM.
