Mauton Clifford Nester, 88, of Hillsville passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Heritage Hall Laurel Meadows Nursing and Rehab. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lovelene Nester; parents, Emett and Luticia Nester.

Survivors include his daughter, Patsy Horton of Fancy Gap; two grandchildren and spouses, Eric and Shannon Horton of Hillsville, and Anthony and Misty Horton of North Myrtle Beach, SC; three great grandchildren, Adam Horton, Cameron Horton, and Ethan Horton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 5:00 PM at the Nester Cemetery with Pastor Jerry Nester officiating. Burial will follow the graveside service. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel. A guestbook is available on-line by visiting www.vaughanguynnandmcgrady.com .
