Maudie Christine Peak, 76, of Hillsville, VA gained her angel wings on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Hillsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Peak is preceded in death by her husband, James F. Peak; parents, Preston A. Gravley and Roxie Vera Gravley; grandson, Anthony Akers; sister, Faye Gravley; brothers, David Gravley, Ronnie Gravley, and Leon Gravley.

Survivors include her daughters, Diane Edwards of Hillsville, VA, Donna Ball and husband Butch of Floyd, VA; grandchildren, Matthew and Stacey Akers, Adam and Jennifer Akers, and Andrew Akers, Justin Branch, Beth Branch, Amber and Charles Lee, and Sierra Edwards Primm; great- grandchildren, Cameron and Raelyn Akers, Braydon and Gabriel Branch, Taygan, Blakelyn Lee and Kane Gallimore; sisters, Patricia Darlene and Jack Stanwitz; brothers, Thomas and Joyce Gravley, Clinton and Becky Gravley, Jerry and Kathy Gravley, and Timothy Gravley; sisters-in-law, Lois Gravley, Beverly Gravley; several nieces and nephews also survive.

A funeral will be held at Hillsville Pentecostal Holiness Church on Monday, February 27, 2023 at 1:00 PM with pastor Jeff Pickett officiating. Burial will follow at the Peak Creek Cemetery in Pulaski, VA. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 27, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Hillsville Pentecostal Holiness Church.
