Matthew James Mendez-Guzman was born December 22, 1987 to Onesimo and Christine Mendez-Guzman. At 38 years old Matthew passed away on Saturday, October 24th, 2026 at Lewis Gale Hospital Pulaski. No words are good enough to give him the reverence and admiration that he deserves. It is hard to describe the wonderful person he truly was, the honest life he lived, and the immense impact he had on those his life touched while we were blessed to have him here with us. He was loyal, wise, respectful, had a good moral character, was a hard worker with good work ethic, and had a huge, selfless heart. Matthew devoted his life to his family and friends. Anyone who truly knew him got to see the funny, caring, and selfless person he chose to be. He was someone who everyone could always count on, a safe place, and a comfort to be around. Aside from being a good man, he truly tried to be the best husband, father, son, brother, and friend that he could. We love you and you are missed beyond words.
