Matthew Lee Jarrells, 56 of Hillsville, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at Parham Doctors' Hospital in Richmond. Mr. Jarrells was born in Radford, VA on August 14, 1965. He was preceded in death by his mother, Cecile M. Calvin Jarrells and his grandmother, Ethel Blanche Jarrells.

Survivors include his wife, Zana Jarrells; daughter and son-in-law, Brittnay and Anthony Boyd; grandchildren, Sadie Jarrells and Amelia Boyd; father, Mathew D. Jarrells; sister, Melinda Chrisley and C.J.; brother, Eric Jarrells; special friend, Anna Pruitt Mitchell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Pastor Doug Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in the Trail Family Cemetery in Hiwassee. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Benefit for Zana and Lee at any Skyline National Bank. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
