Matthew Harris Brown, 23, of Hillsville, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2011. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his grandparents James and Ann Bolen and a brother Garrett Warf. He is survived by his father Richard Anthony Brown of North Carolina; mother Cindy Lou Warf of Hillsville; sister Celia Bolen of Hillsville; step-sister Jessica Marascio of Allentown, PA; step-brother Nicholas Ostrum of Dobson, NC; grandparents Betty and M.H. Brown of Ivanhoe; step-father Joey Beasley of Hillsville; step-mother Penny Brown of North Carolina; and a special uncle Doug Bolen. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Danny Beasley and Rev. Ray Bolen officiating. Burial will follow in the Round Knob Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday one hour prior to the service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
