Mason James Sharpe, 75 of Hillsville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday April 30, 2006. Mason can be best remembered as the owner and operator of Sharpes Beauty Salon in Hillsville. He was also a talented musician, cook and gardener in his prime. He loved camping and working in his yard every spring and summer. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Lela Sharpe and brothers Sydney Sharpe, Junior Sharpe, Dillard Sharpe and Delmon Babe Sharpe. Mason is survived by his wife Ruby B. Sharpe of the home; children and spouses Jimmy Sharpe of Hillsville, Miriam & Ricky Burnette of Bedford, Robin & Tommy Graham of Hillsville, and Glen Sharpe of Culpepper, VA; grandchildren Patricia Lineberry, Zachery Burnette, Lindsey Burnette, Mason Graham and Lucas Graham; four great grandchildren and special friend Congress his Jack Russel.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with the Rev. Ty Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Plains Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday night at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Carroll County EMS 605-1 Pine Street, Hillsville, VA 24343.
