Mary Lou Webb Ayers, 91 of Hillsville, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2016 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mrs. Ayers was born in Carroll County to the late Bill and Fannie Martin. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Daniel D. Webb; second husband, Loman Ayers; brothers and sisters-in-law, Doran and Ida Mae Martin and William and Wanda Martin, Jr.; step son and spouse, Roger and Jean Ayers; and son-in-law, Kurt H. Smith.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Daniel David and Barbara Jean Webb of Fancy Gap; daughter, Barbara Webb Smith of Hillsville and special friend, Randal McGuire; step daughter and spouse, Bernice and J.C. Roberts of Kernersville, NC; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rev. C.J. "Jack" and Alvina Martin of Harrisonburg and Robert Rush and Marie Martin of Max Meadows; and step grandson and spouse, Jody and Debbie Rickard of Kernersville.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Gladesboro Lutheran Church with Pastor Joe Shumate officiating. Burial will follow in the Gladesboro Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
