Mary Wood Vass, 78, of Hillsville passed away on December 20, 2008 in Galax, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dexter Vass and Maggie Mitchell Vass. Ms. Vass was survived by several cousins; and special friends Mary Smith of Fancy Gap and Edith Riggins of Galax.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 26, 2008 at 3:00 PM at Mt. Plains Cemetery, with Rev. Scott Robertson-Gouche officiating.
