Mary W. Testerman, 66 of Independence, passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2007 in Independence. Mrs. Testerman was born on August 12, 1940 in Grayson County, VA to Paul & Ellen Weatherman. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Cecil Dalton; granddaughter Zenna Dalton and brother J.C. Weatherman. Mrs. Testerman is survived by her husband Jimmy Testerman of Independence; son & daughter-in-law Michael & Vickie Dalton of Austinville; daughter Monica Wolford of Woodlawn; brothers J.R. Weatherman and Virgil Weatherman both of Galax; four grandchildren Maggie Dalton, Mason Dalton, Paul Manuel and Cody Wolford; and special friend Bonnie Lineberry.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 6, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Russell Payne officiating. Burial will follow in the Dalton Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday night at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
