Mary Darlene Sutphin, 76 of Dugspur, affectionately known as Little Grandma, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2008 at Twin County Regional Hospital. She was born in Carroll County to the late William Ernest and Virgie Worrell Sutphin. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Elmo Sutphin. Mrs. Sutphin is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law Patricia & Gerald Moles of Laurel Fork, Debbie & Jerrell Dalton of Dugspur, and Sandra Hubbard of Willis; sister Bonnie Horton of Hillsville; grandchildren Michelle Quesenberry, Jeremy Dalton, Jessica Moles, Jarad Dalton, Chelsea Dalton, Zachary Hubbard and Emily Hubbard; and great grandchildren Brandon Williams, Brooklynn Williams and Taylor Lyons.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 24, 2008 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Rev. Nathan Montgomery and Harley Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine View Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, November 23, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
