Mary Frances Rakes, 69 of Meadows of Dan, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at her home. She is survived by her loving family Danny and Sharon Turman of Meadows of Dan, Tammy Shrader of Meadows of Dan, Frank and Cindy Bowman, Daniel Turman, Victoria Bowman, Alexis Bowman, Noah Bowman and Jacky Turman all of Laurel Fork.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Rev. Lonnie Hylton officiating. Burial will follow in the Reed Island Springs Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, March 18, 2010 from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service.
