Mary Ann Newman Griffin, 76 of Austinville, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at her home.  Mrs. Griffin was born in Carroll County to the late Monte B. and Mary E. Smythers Newman.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ray Lester Griffin; siblings, Mabel Jennings, Faye Davidson, and Gene Newman; and special niece, Natalie Branch.

Survivors include her children, Jerry Griffin, Marty Griffin (Josephine), and Michael Griffin (Gail); siblings, Dale Mabe, Forest Newman (Virginia), Willard Newman, and Lake Newman (Lola); five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Pleasant View Church, where she was a member.  Pastor Ricky Alexander and Brother Robert Farmer will be officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pickett Cemetery.  There will be no visitation.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
