Mary Lee Newman, 88, of Dugspur, passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center. Mrs. Newman was born in Carroll County to the late Marion Lawrence and Emily Andrews Lintecum. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband William S. Newman. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Ted and Patsy Newman of Dugspur; daughter and son-in-law Sherma and Mark Bryan of Spring Valley, OH; grandchildren and spouses Amy and Ryan Stover, Susan and Phillip Stephens, and Carla Ann and Jeremy Banks; and great grandchildren Caleb, Joshua, Hannah, Macy, and Tate. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Rev. Elmon Thompson and Rev. Dustin Montgomery officiating. The Hillsville Post 1115 Ladies Auxiliary will also be having a part of the service. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 PM until service time. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
