Mary France Melton Hawks, 96, of Winston Salem, NC passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2007 at Clemons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Clemons, NC. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ivan and Ruby Hawks of Winston Salem, NC; two grandsons, David Lee Hawks and Michael Dwyane Hawks; three step grand-daughters, Diane Conley, Rebecca Rush, and Reta Ellis; two great grandsons; five step grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the Vaughan Guynn McGrady Chapel, with Pastor Bobby Dishman officiating. Burial will follow in the Melton and Bowman Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 27, 2007 from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
