Mary R. Martin, 87, of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at her home. Ms. Martin was born in Wythe County, Virginia to the late William and Lucy Ada Horton Riggins. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Janice Hull and son-in-law, Dennie Hull. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Connie Martin of Hillsville; sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Curley Goad of Hillsville; grandson and spouse, Rusty and Denise Hull of Fancy Gap; granddaughters, Amber Martin of Kernersville, NC and Jacqueline Martin of Gloucester, VA; and great grandchildren, Madison Hull, Jackson Hull, and Brayden Hunley. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the Hillsville Pentecostal Holiness Church at 3:30 PM with Pastor Jeff Pickett officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 3:00 until 3:30 PM prior to the service. Inurnment will be in the Webb Skyview Cemetery. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
