Mary Ruth Lineberry, 82, of Woodlawn, Va., passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on Thursday, December 13, 2018. She was the loving wife of Garnett Junior Lineberry of 66 years. She was born on January 16, 1936, in Woodlawn, Va. Mary was a daughter of the late William Haywood Robinson and Jettie Johnson Myers.

Mary was incredible in every aspect of her life.  She received a nutrition degree at Wytheville College and retired from SWVTC after more than 20 years of dedicated service. She was an excellent seamstress, cook, cake decorator, and was a loyal volunteer at The Senior Citizens Center. She also volunteered with church activities in Virginia and Florida.

Survivors include her five children and their spouses, Katherine Brown, David and Kathy Lineberry, Sandra Hanes, Connie Lamb and Jeff Poe, Cindy and Mike Patrick; her brother and sister-in-law, Ivan and Dorothy Robinson; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Loree and Gene Harmon and Shirley and Lewis Hartwell; her 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Garnett Junior Lineberry; her parents Haywood and Jettie Robinson and her brother M.A. Robinson.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church in Woodlawn, Va., or Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care in Hillsville, Va.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 16, 2018, at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2pm with Elder Melvin McGrady, Rev. Eugene Brown, and Rev. Leonard Marshall officiating. Interment will be in the Harmon Lineberry Robinson Cemetery. The family will welcome friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1pm until 2pm prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
