Mary Hiatt, 73, of Fancy Gap, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2014 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mrs. Hiatt was born in Carroll County to the late Pierce and Daisy Nelson Hall. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Bobby Hall, Jim Hall, G.W. Hall, and Junior Hall. Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Hiatt of the home; brothers, Billy and Dorothy Hall of Fancy Gap and Harold and Glinda Hall of Hillsville; sister, Dorothy Hall of Fancy Gap; special niece, Daisy Hall; special nephew, Jason Hall; several other nieces and nephews; and several friends from Lake View Restaurant. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Pastor Wendell Horton officiating. Burial will follow in the Nelson Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
