Mary    Jane Haynes, 75 of Mount Airy, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at her home.  Mrs. Haynes was born in North Carolina to the late Harry Erickerson and Nancy Polly Hawks Snyder.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Junior Ernest Haynes; daughter, Shannon Upchurch Hall; and one great-grandson, Brantley Hall.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Deana Upchurch; stepchildren, Larry Haynes and Becky Benner; siblings, Helen Hawks, Jackie Bobbitt and Cecil Ayers; four grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastors Michael Combs, Cody Hamm and Scott Coleson officiating.  Burial will follow in the C.C. Webb Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to the funeral service.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
