Mary Alice Fender, 77, of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David M. Fender; father, Lewis Melvin Bandy; mother, Fanny Ruth Rigsby Bandy; sisters, Ruthann Richardson, and Janet Carter.

Survivors include her four daughters and sons-in-laws, Carolyn Fender and Leonard Fielder of Woodlawn, Brenda Edwards of Low Gap, NC, Martha Robinson of Mocksville, NC, and Amanda and Bo Harrison of Sylacauga, AL; son and daughter-in-law, David Fender and Debra Melton of Hillsville; five brothers and sisters-in-laws, Lawerence and Martha Bandy of SC, LeRoy and Edie Bandy of MD, Leonard and Lee Bandy of NC, Bud and Linda Bandy of WV, and Brian and Kim Pilkerton of Woodlawn; sisters, Boots Sample, of Perryville, MD, and Rose Schuller of MD; two special grandchildren, Dustin Osborne, and Jessica Osborne; special great grandchild, Allison Nicole Osborne; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

A Graveside Service and burial will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 12:00 PM at the Fender Family Cemetery with Pastor Gerald Tilley and Wesley Burcham officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the Fender family.
