Beloved wife and mother, Mary Frances Entsminger Surratt of Hillsville, Virginia passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2010. Born in Salem, Virginia, she was the daughter of Robert Beard and Edna Pearl Garrett Entsminger. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Samuel Page Entsminger and Robert Beard Entsminger, Jr. A graduate of Hillsville High School, she and her husband own and operate Surratt's Jewelry in Hillsville, Virginia. She was a faithful member of the Hillsville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed her membership in the Order of the Eastern Star for many years. Mary Frances Surratt is survived by her devoted husband, Cleophus Surratt and two daughters and sons-in-law: Patricia and Roger Golding of Hillsville, Virginia and Cleo and Jeff Williams of Draper, Virginia. Five grandchildren include Chad and Jill Golding of Ellsworth, Maine; Seth and Sara Golding of Jacksonville, North Carolina; Timothy Williams of Draper, Virginia; Arynn Paige and Chris Link of Roanoke, Virginia; and Tamara and Chris Monceaux of Christiansburg. In addition, she is survived by eight great-grand children and special friend, Gaynell Cochran of Hillsville, Virginia. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 25, 2010, from 12:30-2:30 p.m. at the Vaughn Guynn McGrady Chapel in Hillsville, Virginia. Services will be immediately following the service. Burial will be at the North End Cemetery in Hillsville, Virginia. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
