Mary Elizabeth Coble Jonas, 72, of Hillsville, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2017 at her home. Mrs. Jonas was born in Carroll County to the late William and Cora Phillips Coble. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Helen Dunagun, Ileen York, and Shelby Dalton and a brother, Paul "Bubby" Coble.

Survivors include her husband, Carol Jonas of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Lisa Jonas of Ft. Chiswell; sister and brother-in-law, Ruby and Dean Dalton of Elliston; granddaughter and spouse, Megan and Scott Heldreth; grandson, Jarred Jonas; great grandchildren, Brantley Heldreth and Lillyanna Jonas; god daughters, Andrea Rupe and Brittany Songer; special friends, Judy Mabe and Nathan Wing; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Titus Anderson and Rev. Faye Snow officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardner Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
