Marvin Lenford Goad 85 of Dugspur, Virginia passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, North Carolina. He was born on January 28, 1937 to the late Marion and Alrinda Nester Goad. He was also preceded in death by his wife Alice Sue Largen Goad; son, Mark Goad; sibling's, Owen Goad and Maxine Goad.

Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, James and Patricia Goad, and Scott Goad; brother and sister-in-law, Julian and Dorothy Goad; daughter-in-law, Mary Jane Goad; grandchildren, Laura Goad and husband Allen, Erika Goad, Isaiah Goad and Jacob Goad; great grandchildren, Ethanael Davis and Peyton Goad; niece, Collen Goad; nephew, David Largen.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Ronnie Goad officiating. Burial will follow in the Goad Cemetery on Silverleaf Road in Dugspur. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers or food the family asks that donations be made to the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, North Carolina. The family request that anyone attending the services for Mr. Goad wear a mask.
