Martha Rae Lintecum

December 30, 1948-January 17, 2018

On January 17, Martha slipped away peacefully at home in her sleep to meet Jesus after a long battle with kidney disease. Martha dedicated her life to God, her family and a career of teaching young children in private Christian schools.

Martha was born to Clifford Galen Lintecum and Martha Ann (Frazier) Lintecum in Shorts Creek Virginia on December 30, 1948. She is survived by her sisters, Virginia Arnone, Brenda Persad (Kelvan), and Elaine Lintecum (Anthony Herrera) and brother, Aaron Lintecum (Kathy) and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cliff and Ann, sisters, Lois Ketterman, Ilene Jones, Christine Dalton, Gracie Dickerson, Nancy Lintecum and Doris Kenny, and brother, Galen Lintecum.

Viewing will be held at 10:00 am on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Allison Chapel Church of God, 6620 Double Cabin Road, Hillsville VA, followed by services at 11:00 am. with Rev. R.J. Buttery officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Hill Cemetery. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
