Martha Virginia Edwards, 77 of Austinville, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at her home. Mrs. Edwards was born in Virginia to the late John William and Pearlie Beasley Horton. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Walter Berlin Edwards and a son Jimmy Berlin Edwards. Mrs. Edwards is survived by her children & spouses Barbara & Terry Davidson of Gloucester Point, VA, Patricia & William Smith of Hillsville, Bobby & Tina Edwards of Austinville, Michael & Darlene Edwards of Galax, Jerry & Debra Edwards of Austinville, Larry Edwards of Austinville and Ammie & Eric Shupe of Hillsville; sisters & brothers-in-law Mae & Titus Carter of Austinville, Artie Belle Primm of Hillsville, Rubye & Jr. Edwards of Hillsville, Faye & Clyde Lineberry of Hillsville and Elma Jean & Lee Mabe of Austinville; brother & sister-in-law Eugene & Vera Horton of Austinville; 15 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at Coulson Church of the Brethren at 2:00 PM with Pastor Russell Payne, Mr. Terry Simone and Rev. Cas Horton officiating. Burial will follow in the Beasley Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Coulson Church on Friday, January 11, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
