Marshall (Joe) Hendrick, 73, of Winston Salem, NC passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at his home. Mr. Hendrick was preceded in death by his parents John & Dorthelia Hendrick; his wife, Madeline Cox Hendrick; sisters, Evelyn Worrell and Alta Faye Beamer; brothers, Morris Hendrick, Edwin Hendrick, Burchal Hendrick, and Benton Hendrick.

He is survived by his son, Brandon Hendrick of Winston Salem, NC; three stepchildren and spouses, Mary and Tim Owens of High Point, NC, Cynthia Ann and Ben Roberge of Denver, NC, and Joseph Norman Gravely of Horseshoe, NC; brother, Ersal Hendrick of Pulaski, VA; sister, June Cassell of Hillsville, VA; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel, with Rev. Sanford Hendrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Bluemont Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
