Mark Wayne Vaughan, 55 of Orangeville, PA, passed away with his family by his side on Sunday, August 20th, 2017.

Born on December 11, 1961 in Richmond, Virginia, he lived most of his life in Hickory, North Carolina. Mark's greatest joy in life was his family. Nothing kept him from making memories and spending time with the ones he loved. Countless family trips to the Outer Banks, camping, or outings to the gun range to teach his children and grandchildren the art of shooting. Mark could start a conversation with a complete stranger and brighten your day with his smile. A true friend and devoted cousin to many as he had no siblings, cousins and good friends were his brothers and sisters.

Mark is survived by his wife Debra Vaughan, three children Amanda Biddings, Derrick Vaughan, and Brittney Bowen and four grandchildren Zane, Aubrey, William, and Colt.

Mark spent his last summer with his wife in their cottage by the creek with their golden retriever, London, by their side. Poppop took his grandchildren fishing, played video games, got his grandson ready for his first tackle football season and ate sissy and Nana's chocolate chip cookie dough anytime he could. He loved on baby Colt and made noises with him until he giggled. These are the things he was best at in life, being the best husband, daddy, poppop, cousin, and friend by making the memories that last a lifetime.

A graveside service, with burial following will be held on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Crab Creek Cemetery in Ennice, NC.

Daddy, we will miss you, but for now, we say good night, sleep tight, see you in the morning, and we love you!
