Marie H. Worrell, 88 of Fancy Gap, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at Trinity Mission of Hillsville. Mrs. Worrell was born in Carroll County to the late Garl and Lydia Jane McMillian Haynes. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Paul Lewis Worrell. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Junior and Lura Ayers of Cana, stepson and spouse Gene and Shirley Worrell of Hillsville; brother and sister-in-law Tom and Nellie Haynes of Hillsville; sister and brother-in-law Peggy and Otis Newman of Winston Salem, NC; grandson and spouse Tony and Donna Ayers; two great grandchildren Amanda Utt and Christopher Reeves; and great-great granddaughter Brandi Utt.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Wendell Horton officiating. Burial will follow in the Turner Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
