Marie Vaughn
, 88 of Austinville, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Heritage Hall Laurel Meadows. Mrs. Vaughn was born in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Ira & Sylvia Farley Cox. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Lee Vaughn; son, Dennis Vaughn; and daughter, Carolyn Jane Vaughn.
She is survived by a daughter, Joyce Vaughn, of Austinville; grandson, & spouse, Richie & Crystal Vaughn, Austinville; great granddaughter, Lillian Leigh Vaughn; and sister Edith Carter, Galax.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 11, at 11:00 AM at the River Hill Christian Church with Speakers Roger Jones, and Joe Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the Pickett Cemetery in Austinville. The family will receive friends on Friday at the church on Friday, June 10, 2016 from 6:00 until 8;00 PM. Flowers would be appreciated or however a donation may be made to the Pickett Cemetery, c/o 1155 Pleasant View Road, Austinville, VA 24312.Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
