Marie Elizabeth Deans, 87 of Fancy Gap, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at her home. Ms. Deans was born in Pennsylvania to the late Eugene Jacob and Anna Dourgherty; brother, Eugene Jacob Miller, Sr.; and sister, Francis Grant.

Survivors include her siblings, Fred Miller, Jackie Mills, Jeanne Williams, and Ann Davis; sister-in-law, Eileen Miller; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 1:30 PM at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Mount Airy, NC with Father Larry Heiney officiating. Burial will follow in the Goad Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 12:30 until 1:30 PM prior to the funeral mass. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
