Marie H. Cook, 82 of Woodlawn, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at her home.  Mrs. Cook was born in Carroll County to the late Gray Glenn and Bertha Leona Bevil Haynes.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Debbie Cook.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Cook; sons and daughter-in-law, Mike Cook and Chris and Sheila Cook; grandchildren, Emily Cook and Seth Cook; siblings and spouses, Joyce Shockley, Ann Davis, Eva Sue and James Bryant, David and Lamyra Haynes and William and Anita Haynes; nephew and spouse, Dale and Heather Shockley; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Shockley, Noah Shockley, and Lily Shockley; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Mr. Sammy Burnett officiating.  Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to the funeral service.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
