Marie Salmons Barker, 85, of Hillsville passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Reeves Salmons; parents, Walter Glenn and Elsie Marie Hawks Morris.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-laws, Diane and Ernie Jackson of Hillsville, Linda and Bill Gallimore of Hillsville, and Ellen Sawyers of Hillsville; son, David Salmons of Abingdon, VA; sisters and brothers-in-laws, Betty and Winford Davis of Mt. Airy, NC, and Sharon and Alex Kurlychek of Delray Beach, FL; grandchildren and spouses, Carrie and Michael Sullivan of Phoenix AZ, Caleb and Lynnsey Jackson, and Erin Sawyers; great grandchildren, Knox and Noah Jackson, Eve and Fox Sullivan.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 30, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Robert Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Issac Banks Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, October 30, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home 945 Zephyr Road Dobson, NC, 27017. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
