Maria Zis Hawks, 74 of Conway, SC, passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Conway Medical Center. Mrs. Hawks was born in Washington, DC to the late Spiro and Helen Stathis Zis. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Therman Hawks; brother, Jim Zis; and sister, Jane Zis.

Survivors include her son, Stephen Lee Zis-Talley; grandson, Christopher Devan Sanders; brother, Steve Zis; brothers-in-law, Rodney Hawks, Sherman Hawks, and Herman Hawks; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service with burial following will be in the Love Cemetery on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Lawrence Heiney officiating. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
