Margie Rachael Dalton, 104 of Hillsville, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2014. Mrs. Dalton was born in Carroll County to the late Thomas Lawrence and Rosetta Dalton Snow. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Dalton; sisters, Ella Hanks, Laura Snow Nichols, Pearlie Snow, and Minnie Nichols; and brother, Walter Snow. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Denny and Gaye Nichols of Hillsville; grandsons Denny Nichols, Jr. of Hillsville and Steven Nichols and wife Erica of Woodlawn; great grandchildren, Brandon Nichols, Cesilee Nichols, and Hunter Nichols all of Hillsville; and nieces, Gloria Milburn of Pulaski and Dottie Parks of Woodlawn. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Wendell Horton officiating. Burial will follow in the Dalton Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 PM until service time. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
