Margie Fern Akers Ogle, 77 of Hillsville, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2009 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Ogle was born in Carroll County to the late Roscoe Allen & Bessie Bullion Akers. She is survived by her children Opal Fern Kegley of Woodlawn; Billy Lance Ogle, Tony Lynn Ogle both of Hillsville; brothers & sisters, Allen Akers, Rev. Robert Akers, Betty Lineberry Hillsville; Howard Akers, Dobson, NC; Eujeanie Burnett, Rev. Dale Akers, Hillsville; grandchildren & spouses, Jason Kegley, Jody & Crystal Kegley, Tryphena & Andy Horsley; great grandchildren Bree Kegley, Levi Kegley, Isabell Kegley; special friend Roy H. Smith.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 26, 2009 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 1:00 PM with Rev. Dale Akers and Rev. Bobby Akers officiating. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, Januuary 25 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
