Margaret Sue Hedrick Gray departed this life on April 17, 2013 in Manchester, Maryland. Sue was born in Wytheville, Virginia to Joseph and Alice Hedrick on December 4, 1925. She raised her family in Charlotte and she and her husband retired in 1979 to Fancy Gap, Virginia. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dewey, of 50 years and is survived by her son, David (Carol) of Mooresville, NC and daughter Sandra (Mark) of Westminster, MD. She leaves behind 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and an avid love of and exceptional skill in the arts of gardening, quilting, and sewing. She will be truly missed. Visitation will be held at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel, Hillsville, VA on Sunday, April 21 from 12-2pm with a funeral service immediately following at 2 p.m. Rev. Maria Grimm will be officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Mt. Plains United Methodist Church P.O. Box 473 Hillsville, VA 24343 or to Carroll Hospice 292 Stoner Avenue, Westminster, MD 21157. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
